Ultimate & Ability Impact
The Ultimate Impact and Ability Impact cards answer a single question: does this hero's ultimate (or ability) actually change fight outcomes? Both cards compare your team's fight win rate when a hero's ult or ability was used against the win rate when it wasn't, so you can separate real impact from the feeling that an ultimate was doing work.
Both cards are available to Basic and Premium subscribers and live on the main Team Stats dashboard.
Ultimate Impact Analysis
The Ultimate Impact Analysis card measures how much a hero's ultimate swings fights.
How It Works
Pick a hero from the dropdown. Fuzzy search is enabled, so you can type a partial name to jump to the hero you're looking for. The card then splits into two scenarios:
- Ult used: the win rate of fights where this hero's ultimate was used. For
example,
We win 62.3% of fights, with the fight count shown alongside (2 wins – 1 loss). A green left border indicates the scenario is favorable; a red left border indicates it isn't. - Ult not used: the win rate of fights where the ultimate was not used, shown with the same color treatment and fight count.
Compare the two side-by-side. A large gap between them means the ultimate is meaningfully tipping fights in your favor. A small gap, or a negative one, is a signal that the ultimate isn't carrying its weight.
Ability Impact Analysis
The Ability Impact Analysis card applies the same approach to non-ultimate abilities: dives, shields, movement abilities, cleanses, and other cooldowns that shape fights.
Pick a hero, and the card shows the same used vs not used comparison, win rate, fight count, and a green or red border depending on whether the scenario is favorable.
This is useful for the cooldowns that live or die on timing, a well-timed cleanse or shield can flip a fight, and this card tells you whether yours are doing that in practice.
Sample-Size Guard
When fewer than three fights fall into a scenario, both cards surface a warning. Small samples produce noisy conclusions, don't rewrite your strategy off a single fight.
Give a hero a few scrims of data before leaning on these cards for decisions.
How Coaches Use It
- Separate impact from vibes: if a hero's
ult usedwin rate is close to theirult not usedrate, the ultimate isn't the factor people think it is. Look elsewhere for the reason fights are or aren't working. - Diagnose timing and target selection: a flat or negative delta on a high-impact ultimate usually points at when it's being used and who it's being used on, not the ability itself.
- Validate comp decisions: confirm that the ultimates you drafted around are actually winning the fights you're drafting them for.
- Spotlight overperformers: abilities with a big positive delta are working. Build plays around them and invest practice time in the players running them.
